Mix Cover Studio A Control Room resence Studios was founded in 1980 by composer/ producer Jon Russell. Originally conceived as a private facility, Presence quickly gained recognition as one of the premier recording studios in New England. The studios have gone through multiple upgrades and relocations over the past 30 years as its client base has increased from local to regional, national and international.

The current facility is appropriately called Presence Studios Suite 100. A modern two-room facility on a beautiful private estate in Weston Connecticut.

Unlike many of today’s studios which are little more than office space with equipment in them, Presence facilities have always been professionally designed and constructed as recording studios. The results speak for themselves in the countless high profile films and music releases that have been recorded and / or mixed here. In addition, we have always felt that the level of a World Class Studio's equipment and acoustics should be a given, but it shouldn’t stop there. Our bathrooms and kitchens are similar to that of a fine residential home. We keep the facility immaculately clean at all times and truly care about client comforts, and we enjoy the stress free environment!”

Presence's Studio A is an acoustically accurate mix room equipped with a Neve VR-Legend 60 console. All modern professional DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) recording formats are supported along with classic Studer Analog 24 track with Dolby SR and ½” Sony 48 track Digital.

Studio A’s ADR Stage is regularly used by the Film and Animation Industry's top Artists & Directors for true real-time live ADR recording either live or via ISDN. Music Producers and Engineers love using the classic Neve Analog Console for music production, vocal recording, keyboard overdubs on our beautiful Steinway B piano or Hammond C3, and last but not least; mixing to picture.

Control A is designed for 5.1 surround and is certified accurate by DTS. It was recognized by winning the IMAX Large Format Film of the Year award for the musical production “All Access”. The studio also provides technical requirements for industrial productions and conferences by many of the areas Fortune 500 companies.

Studio B is a state of the art Audio Post Production Suite with its main focus being the Fairlight Prodigy Digital Workstation and Final Cut Pro editing system. A smaller room than Studio A, commercial advertising directors and Music/Film/Television producers enjoy the intimate atmosphere. With the total technical interface between rooms, many clients take advantage of the ability to simultaneously record and or mix a project while edits and post production elements are being completed in the adjoining studio.

In addition to the studios, Presence offers a variety of support services, including ISDN services and on-location recording services, Forensic Audio and media technology support for the legal community, Same-Day multi-CD & DVD duplication and video to DVD transfers from many professional and consumer formats. Also provided is Audio Preservation for critical material that needs to withstand long term storage.
